My wife’s dad is giving me his 1975 MG Midget 1500. He replaced the engine with another from the same model, and put in a Spirtfire overdrive transmission.
Other than the transmission and white paint, the car appears to be stock. It runs real well, just needs the fluids changed out soon.
I plan on restoring the interior with new carpet, dash, radio, speakers (I’m an audiophile), seat belts, and maybe a few other small details.
I’ll likely paint it British racing green or candy red.
The engine compartment will need to be cleaned out and painted (possibly flat black).
I’d like to put a weber carburetor and a different muffler (something deeper and throaty)
I’m sure ill find a few other things that will need to be replaced or upgraded as I go along.
